TIPPING guru Mark Nelson competed in two Racing Post/Coral sponsored Naps competitions for Raceform On Saturday.

He won the table for the 2000 flat season and narrowly failed in the following 2000/2001 jumps season, finishing runner-up. This led him to be hailed as ‘the best in the business’ by Raceform On Saturday editor and founder of Pricewise, Mark Coton.

MARK came to the fore writing regular ‘roundup’ pieces for Raceform On Saturday during 1999, shortly after the paper’s launch the previous year.

Such was the success of his tips that he soon had a feature column and went on to be the lead tipster for the paper, competing in the Racing Post/Coral sponsored naps competition. He won at his first attempt during the 2000 flat season and finished runner-up in the following National Hunt campaign.
He subsequently joined the Racing & Football Outlook as the ‘Morning Mole’ before being snapped up by The Sun to start a new feature in their Saturday ‘Favourite’ pull-out as the Bookie Basher.
Mark has since returned to the Racing & Football Outlook to continue the ‘Time Test’ column previously undertaken by the late Ken Hussey. The production of the time figures, together with the weekly column  take up the majority of his time along with plenty of punting.
